On October 31, 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, received the Canadian delegation headed by Alison LeClair, the General Director of the Bureau for Eastern Europe and Eurasia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the prospects for the development of bilateral relations in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as interaction within the UN and other international institutions were discussed in the conversation.
As noted, the parties consider the common experience of conducting regular political consultations as an effective mechanism for determining specific areas for further deepening cooperation in various fields.
The meeting noted the existing significant potential for expanding mutually beneficial trade and implementation of high-tech investment projects with the participation of Canadian capital.
The sides also exchanged views on the current international agenda.
On the same day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the seventh round of inter-MFA political consultations.
The events were attended by the Ambassador of Canada John Ronald Köhr.
